Research found 35% of Jews felt unsafe in Britain and 32% reported at least one antisemitic incident in 2024

Feelings of safety in the UK’s Jewish community have declined sharply in the last couple of years, according to the largest survey of British Jews since 7 October 2023.

The research, conducted in June and July, found 35% of Jews felt unsafe in Britain in 2025, compared with 9% in 2023 before the Hamas attacks.

PM calls attack in Manchester an act of antisemitism and says country will stand up to hatred behind it

Keir Starmer has promised to strengthen police numbers in Jewish communities across the country after Thursday’s terrorist attack outside a synagogue in Manchester.

The prime minister called the attack in the Crumpsall area an act of antisemitism and said the country would stand up to the hatred behind it.

Departments and staff are using out-of-office emails and websites to engage in partisan political activity

A growing number of federal agencies and staff are explicitly blaming Democrats for the current government shutdown. The political messaging by the agencies may be a violation of the Hatch Act, which prohibits federal employees from engaging in partisan political activity.

Furloughed federal employees at some agencies have been instructed to set out-of-office messages explaining that they are not working because Democrats caused a shutdown. Government agency websites also have displayed messages informing site visitors the websites are temporarily on hold due to the “Democrat-led” shutdown.
